I see you are watching parenthood, tell me what you think of the show, feelings, I wanna know everything. (i just love your opinions)
I am :) ! I’m actually rewatching season one and two, the later of which I’d only seen around fifteen episodes. I had stopped for some reason and didn’t catch up and ugh, this show is ridiculously wonderful. But I feel really self conscious and like I have to be thoughtful about this when all I really want to do is run around and throw glittery stars into the air because I love this show so much and it makes me teary eyed and.. At a moment where my tv life resolves around romantic procedurals that make me want to rip my heart out, intrinsically complicated and well-plotted mystery dramas and adorable comedies, it’s really nice to balance all of that out with the simple and endearing familiarity of Parenthood. It’s not to say that the characters are any less layered, but it’s easier to relate to them in their flawedness, see them deal with realistic issues, bare and not hidden under thinly veiled metaphors. You recognize Katims’ characters and their raw sensitivity, and the astute portrayal of family. Because Parenthood shows you that your roots and your home isn’t a place but people, and that your differences won’t keep you apart, much like Friday Night Lights and Roswell did in their time. So it’s great. And also I love Amber.
It’s not a name thing.
